The architect Anika Wolff, from the Ligne architect’s office, highlights the specialised services offered by smilike.me with their identity-building ideas and she shows how orthodontic treatment is associated with the feelings of relaxation and wellness
The patient-friendly practice is characterised by its formal minimalist appearance and pleasantly relaxing atmosphere. Upon entering the practice, the focus is immediately directed to the freestanding centrepiece in the middle of the room. The object separates the waiting room from the treatment rooms located behind it.
The right light creates a sense of wellbeing for both patients and staff
The ARVA mounted lights offer homogenous general lighting. The bright treatment rooms provide a friendly, soothing and non-clinical atmosphere and ensure the doctors have the light required for their demanding work. In the waiting area, the waiting room is tastefully accentuated with the help of LUNIK recessed spotlights. The high colour rendering (CRI 95) deliberately emphasises the different coloured items. This lends a powerful vibrant colouring to the furniture and wall pictures. The coordinated furniture and fittings offer patients a pleasant wait.
Another practice was recently opened in Hamburg. The lighting design was co-ordinated by the lighting specialists Piwarz Licht in collaboration with the Ligne architects.
