Music and light - a sensory experience 31. May 2021
The completely sold out event «Music and Light» on 23 May 2019 was a highlight in the region and a unique experience for the visitors. Four cellists of the argovia philharmonic staged their works in different rooms of the impressive architectural building of RIBAG in Safenwil. The focus was on the experience of sound worlds and spatial dimensions.
Interplay of music and light
After the joint start of the concert under the impressive chandelier in the foyer, the visitors were guided through the company building in four groups. In each of the four staircases, a cellist staged a work, accompanied by an atmospheric light show. Depending on the style of music, the lighting was either pulsating, resting, theatrically staged or naturally in the light of a single candle. To the sounds of Cassadó, Ligeti and Bach, to quartets and solo works, the visitors took a look behind the scenes of the Safenwil Light Factory. Light as well as sound could be experienced in a special way through mutual interaction. In addition to the various productions, a special highlight was the final piece «Nothing else matters» as well as the aperitif in the new Light Gallery, where the most modern lighting solutions could be experienced with a glass of wine and various appetizers.
